From romantic Disney violin music to hidden Mickeys throughout the decor, every detail of their Fraser River Lodge wedding reflected their personalities and relationship in such an intentional and memorable way.

Getting Ready at Fraser River Lodge

The day began with getting ready photos at Fraser River Lodge, one of the most stunning wedding venues in the Fraser Valley. Jacqueline spent the morning surrounded by excitement while the talented team at Make Up Mafia created her elegant bridal look.

Meanwhile, Aerhyn prepared for the day ahead while guests slowly arrived at the venue, escaping the intense summer heat.

Because temperatures were soaring, coordinator Marissa from Whimsical Wedding Planning worked closely with the Fraser River Lodge team to thoughtfully pivot the timeline and ceremony setup to ensure guests stayed comfortable throughout the day.

A Beautiful First Look Before the Ceremony

Before the ceremony, Jacqueline and Aerhyn shared an emotional first look together. It gave them a chance to pause, connect privately, and calm some of the nerves before the celebrations officially began.

The quiet excitement between them during their first look made for such genuine and emotional moments, setting the tone for the rest of the day.

Adapting the Ceremony for the Summer Heat

With the extreme heat, the ceremony location was moved underneath the tent to provide much-needed shade and comfort for guests. The wedding commissioner also thoughtfully had Jacqueline and Aerhyn pre-sign their marriage documents indoors in the air conditioning before the ceremony began.

The adjustments throughout the day were such a perfect example of how an experienced wedding vendor team can pivot seamlessly while still creating an incredible experience for everyone involved.

Every detail throughout the reception subtly reflected Jacqueline and Aerhyn’s love for Disney. Hidden Mickeys were elegantly incorporated throughout the decor — from the wedding cake created by Bakes by Kenz to the floral arrangements and reception details.

One of the most creative ideas of the evening was their Hidden Mickey scavenger hunt. Guests searched throughout the reception space for hidden Mickeys with an awesome LEGO prize waiting for the winner.

The Disney-inspired details felt playful and nostalgic without overwhelming the elegance of the wedding design.

LEGO, Board Games & Meaningful Entertainment

Jacqueline and Aerhyn also made sure their reception reflected the things they genuinely love together. Guests could build LEGO people at their tables and enjoy board games throughout the evening, creating such a relaxed and interactive atmosphere.

During the speeches, one particularly memorable moment happened when Aerhyn’s acapella group surprised everyone by standing up and singing alongside him. It was personal, emotional, and incredibly unique — one of those moments guests will remember for years.

First Dance & LED Glow Stick Party
