Some engagement sessions feel extra special—and Celine and Colby’s session at Pitt Lake was one of those unforgettable ones that truly shows how beautiful trusting the process can be.
We met up at Pitt Lake in Pitt Meadows, BC, a location Celine and Colby chose specifically for its sweeping mountain views. Nestled between towering peaks and calm water, Pitt Lake is one of those places that feels quiet, peaceful, and wildly romantic all at once. Even with a little unpredictability from the weather, it ended up being the perfect backdrop for their story.
The session began with rain gently falling around us. Instead of letting it dampen the mood, Celine and Colby leaned right into it—laughing, cuddling close, and embracing the moment. There’s something incredibly romantic about rain during an engagement session, and these two made it look effortless. And just when we thought the session would stay moody and overcast, the clouds parted and the sun came out, completely transforming the landscape. The mountains lit up, the lake shimmered, and we were gifted the best of both worlds: soft, cozy rain vibes followed by bright, golden sunshine.
Adding to the joy of the session were their two dogs, who clearly mean the world to them. Watching Celine and Colby interact with their pups—laughing, giving treats, and stealing kisses in between—was such a beautiful reminder of how important it is to include what you love most in your engagement photos. Their dogs brought so much personality and warmth to the session, making the photos feel even more authentic and personal.
Celine and Colby’s love story began on Hinge, proving once again that modern love stories can be just as magical as any fairytale. The way they look at each other, laugh together, and move so naturally as a team speaks volumes about the connection they share.
