When you get a follow up text from a couple, letting you know they thought they would hate getting photos done but had an amazing time, you know you did your job right. Kim had reached out with a concept in mind. Right away I knew this would be an amazing session and were super excited about it.

We started off at Concord park by Science world in Vancouver. Since Ari was into basketball this was a great way for all of us to break the ice. Kim had custom basketball jerseys made and they brought a basketball with their wedding date on it. Even though I am horrible with names and may have called Arj Kevin... We laughed and proceeded to continue the new inside joke all night long. We played around the basketball court for awhile and once we had enough we all made our way over to Gastown. Kim had shared some inspiration photos ahead of time that included some moody bar vibes. We took the opportunity to enjoy some time sharing a drink together at the Lamplighter. We sat at one of the bars where rainbows were coming in from the windows. We enjoyed our drinks and discreetly snapped some photos trying to draw the least amount of attention possible. The bar tender even let Kim and Ari behind the bar for a few fun photos. We finished off our drinks and walked down the Gastown strip catching the hourly steam clocks show. For our last stop we drove over to sunset beach. Since it was a gorgeous day we had to do what felt like 5 billion loops in order to find parking. We found a small section of the beach that was a tiny less crowded. Kim brought champagne to pop. The dress that she wore she made herself! Like how freaking talented. As we watched the sun lower towards the horizon we enjoyed the gorgeous golden hour light while the people behind us switched up their playlist to romantic songs and serenaded us all. Kim and Ari polished off the evening by getting into the ocean leaving us with some magical shots.
