Deciding on a locations
Engagement sessions can be useful for save the date cards, wedding websites, or just a fun way to get to know your photographer. Sometimes deciding on a locations can seem like a daunting task. Growing up in British Columbia within the Abbotsford/Fraser Valley area, I often take my surroundings for granted. Being a Wedding Photographer has given me the opportunity to take in the beauty of my surroundings and turn them into the backdrop to your everlasting memories.
We have curated a list of some of our favourite engagement photo locations along with a list of places we are excited to soon explore.
Nestled into the mountains in Chilliwack BC is a picturesque lake that reflects the grand mountains that surround the lake. Bring some fire wood, a couple of beers, maybe a bottle of wine and cozy up with a blanket.
Olympic Village Square in Vancouver BC
Deep in the heart of Vancouver is the Olympic Village. Giving you the balance of city life surrounded by the water. The feeling of urban city both the beauty of nature with the linear look of the city. So many options to choose from and a variety of covered areas if Raincouver decides to live up to its name.
A quiet beach town surrounded by the lake and the mountains. Walk around the lagoon with an ice cream from the gelato shop or cozy up to watch the sunset on the beach. Either way this place is a charming location.
Willow View Farm in Abbotsford BC
Abbotsford is the city in the Country. If you are looking for a fall engagement session this spot is pumpkin spice and everything nice. From the pumpkin patch to the spalling apple orchard this place is picture perfect.
Rocky Point Park in Port Moody BC
In Port Moody Rocky point park is a fantastic place for a walk in the park. From the board walk to the sandy beach you will be sure to have a fun afternoon. Don’t forget to hop into their famous ice cream shop.

If art is you jam mixed with city vibes and the ocean then Granville Island will not disappoint. Take a moment to dance to the streets musicians or walk through the colourful market

Aldergrove Regional Park in Aldergrove BC
If you want to feel like Julie Andrews while is sings the hills are alive this spot will fancy you. Tall grass meadows with wild flowers and trailed trees. If you walk along there is even the most perfect view of Mount Baker.
Old Clayburn Village In Abbotsford BC
Step back in time to 1912. This sweet little village is like a movie set. Walk around and view the church, school house and be sure to set some extra time aside to grab some classic candy from the General store.
Even though Ellwood park (also known as fish trap creek) can be considered a little over rated, there are still tons of spots to create your own unique story. From there pond to the covered forrest this spot will keep you dry from the rain and your significant other will keep your heart warm.
